PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear St'a7mes Families,

As we move through the season, we want to remind everyone that while there is still some cold weather on the horizon, the warmth will soon return, and with it, all of our nice snow will melt. If your child needs support with outdoor gear, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school—we are here to help.

We are also excited to welcome back Joelle, who will be resuming her position as our lead learning services teacher. Families who will be working directly with Joelle will be contacted soon. Additionally, we are pleased to share that Laura and Victoria will be staying with us, though their roles have been slightly adjusted within the school.

Finally, we want to recognize the following students who exemplified our school values this week:

Tímit - April

Wanáxws - Keanen

Chén̓chenstway - Ryder

Thank you for your continued support.

Take care,
Cory
Principal, St'a7mes School

DRAFT POLICY REVIEW

Dear SD48 Partner,

On January 15, 2025, the Board of Education approved DRAFT Policy109 Environmental Sustainability in principle during the Policy Committee Meeting. In accordance with Policy 207 Formulation and Evaluation of Policy, all newly approved draft policies undergo a 60-day public review period to gather feedback.

At this time, we are inviting input on DRAFT Policy 109 Environmental Sustainability.

You can review the draft policy and submit your feedback through the Policy Input Form, which is available on the Policy Consultation page here. The input period will remain open until March 31, 2025. Your insights are invaluable in shaping district policies, and we encourage you to share your thoughts.

All feedback will be compiled by district staff and presented for review at the first board meeting following the consultation period.

Thank you for your time and participation in this important process.
