Dear St'a7mes Families,
We are honored to welcome Ta’hax7wtn Randy Lewis as our Elder in Residence. His wisdom and presence will greatly enrich our school community, and we look forward to learning from him. He is joining Auntie Cindy in this work and we are so happy to have them both with us.
It was wonderful to see so many parents join Ms. Kathleen’s class for drum-making! The students lit up with excitement as they worked alongside their families. We love having families involved in our school, and if you would like to participate in classroom activities, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.
A reminder that our Book Fair is happening next week! Thanks to the support of the Squamish Nation PAC and the school, all students will have funds available to purchase books. If you’d like to send additional funds with your child, you’re welcome to do so. Families are also encouraged to join their child’s class when they visit the fair. Please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher or Victoria ([email protected]) for more information.
As we plan for the next school year, we ask that families intending to have their child move to a different school community complete their registration with the new school and inform us as soon as possible. No action is required if your child will continue with us next year.
Finally, we want to celebrate three students who have demonstrated our school values this week:
Tímit - Timofey
Wanáxws - Rorie
Chén̓chenstway - Larissa
Thank you for your continued support and engagement in our school community. We look forward to another great week ahead!
Take care,
Cory Hartling
